So we stayed in Texas for almost a week and a half, visiting Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth mostly. It was disgusting (weather wise) as I expected it would be. We did, however get a few days of rain which was lovely. We saw amazing wall murals, went to a Ranger’s game….pardon me, an A’s game ;), experienced the worst drivers possibly in the country, and a Texas flag proudly waving somewhere every few minutes. Oh, and the Dallas ghetto which I was originally going to leave out but it’s been a few weeks… so don’t worry Mom and Dad, we made it 🙂
Did I mention Texas is very Texas-like? The Ranger’s game was complete with some sort of country song and line dancing for their 7th inning. It was hilarious. Cowboy boots and bouffants were everywhere, and southern accents were thick 😉
So here’s the thing, I can only hold so many photos on my phone and I have already had to empty it two or three times. This blogging thing then becomes a mess because I can’t blog on my laptop (where all my photos are) so I have to email them to an iPad, when I have wifi. It’s awful. My new plan is to blog where I am, so things are fresh in my mind and pictures are still on my phone! Then backtrack for another post…so I apologize things won’t be in order, but honestly, we are pretty much zig-zagging through the US at this point anyway! No more one state per post, we have driven through as many as three to four states a day and just driving through them doesn’t count, really! Therefore, as I am the passenger for the day, my next post will be on Canada! We went Wednesday and Thursday, and Toronto was pretty cool!
